Launching the Naviloq AI Controller
Naviloq Version 8 is here, and this one has been worth the wait. When we introduced Version 7 earlier this year, we described it as laying the foundation for an AI-driven controller, a capability that would proactively surface insights, anomalies, and opportunities across financial and operational data. With Version 8, that capability is now live.
From data to insight, without the manual work
For most finance teams, the work doesn't end when the dashboard is built. It ends when someone has understood what the numbers mean, written the commentary, and shared the story with the rest of the business. That last stretch, from data to insight to communication, has always been manual, time-consuming, and often the bottleneck before every board meeting or monthly close.
The Naviloq AI Controller changes that.
Embedded directly within the platform, the AI Controller analyses your visualisations and KPIs and translates them into clear, plain-language explanations automatically. Instead of manually reviewing multiple charts and preparing commentary, finance teams can generate structured analysis directly from their dashboards: what is happening, why it matters, and what to pay attention to.
For CFOs and finance leaders the practical impact is significant. You get faster visibility into performance drivers without waiting for someone to compile the analysis. Your team spends less time on narrative preparation and more time on the decisions that actually move the business forward.
Built for the questions that matter most
What makes the AI Controller particularly useful is that it doesn't just describe what the charts show, it connects KPIs to drivers and outcomes. It surfaces trends, anomalies, risks, and opportunities in both financial and operational data, giving management teams the context they need to act with confidence.
Analyses can also be shared directly within Naviloq chat groups, turning individual AI-generated insights into shared organisational knowledge. Your controller runs the analysis; the CFO and the rest of the management team see it immediately, in context.
Introducing the Naviloq AI Controller
What's coming next
Version 8 is the first step in a broader AI-driven analytics experience. Already on the roadmap:
Executive-ready performance summaries: Extends existing visualisations capabilities from individual visualisations to full dashboard pages, with the option to generate either a concise summary or a deeper analysis covering the drivers and reasoning behind the numbers.
Scheduled automated analyses: Recurring insights delivered without manual triggers
AI-generated presentation materials: From dashboard to deck, automatically
Conversational finance assistant: Ask questions about your data in natural language
Other improvements in Version 8
Beyond the AI Controller, Version 8 also expands the linked drilldown functionality first introduced in Version 7. Users and content creators can now attach multiple visualisations as drilldown views and navigate them through a bottom panel, making cause-and-effect analysis even more fluid. Dataset time restriction options have also been extended to support more advanced and flexible reporting scenarios. The release includes further improvements to cascading filters, infrastructure stability, and API monitoring.
Together, these updates continue to build the analytical depth that growth-stage finance teams need to stay ahead.
