A developing partner for growth
The financial management of Grano, which had grown through acquisitions, was outsourced to Staria about three years ago.
– We wanted to have the most efficient and reliable partner who can also, in cooperation with us, develop financial administration as digitization progresses, Laakso says.
Staria has built a comprehensive financial service center for Grano, where service design is combined with modern technology. A dedicated team of financial administration professionals handles Grano's financial routines and external reporting, such as accounting, ledger and payment transactions.
The aim of the cooperation has been to modernize and streamline financial administration processes and automate routine tasks. Automation was used to save time and thus enable concrete cost savings. Also, artificial intelligence supports the efficiency of the service.
– Together with Staria, we built a development plan in which different areas were immediately broken down into smaller parts. After that we started to see how we wanted to make processes more efficient and what value artificial intelligence could bring us, Laakso recalls.

The work has been done in a steering groups, where together with the representatives of both companies, the current situation and future steps have been reviewed.
– I have worked with many different financial administration service companies. What I like about Staria especially, is the way they took over the whole process. We discuss the big picture together with them, so that things can be carried out as clearly as possible from start to finish. Another thing that is worth mentioning is the transparent pricing, which allows us to save costs, Laakso states with a smile.
